Story: This client, a testing laboratory located in Hurley, New Mexico, had been looking to expand its market to other areas of the state. The client wanted to build a logo that incorporated the major geological feature of the area, a mesa that had an unusual abrupt end to the city-facing rock face.
Goal: Create a design that would be flexible over several media (magnetic signs on company vehicles, web site, letterhead and collateral) that fit within the parameters of the client.
Result: This concept reflected the rock ridge and presented a strong presence for the company. While another concept was chosen, this version still incorporated many of the features of the final design.
